I recently had a commission to make some large flowers which were to be painted and put on stems for a window display. They wanted a few hundred flowers, some were tuber-roses, you can see how I made them in this tutorial here. They also wanted some large roses which were bigger than I had ever made. I had never made clay roses as large as they were asking but knew it was possible. I worked out the best way to make so many hundred without it causing me any repetitive strain issues. When I make roses I just grab a bit of clay, roll into a ball then flatten in my palm to make the petals, you can see me making petals this way on my video page here, but with this order I used circle cutters to cut the petals before creating the petal shapes. You can see how I made the roses on this tutorial here..
The results of my hard work can be seen in the images below proudly on display in some of Harrods windows.
