Flower Making Course Details
In time I will create a number of clay classes but for now I am just offering a Flower Making Course. The details are below:
I am pretty flexible so can do 2 or 3 hour slots at times to suit you. Call me on 07813 258286 to see what I have available.
Not available from 20th June – 27th June
What you will learn?
I will teach you how to make flowers that can then either go on stems or sit alone. The cost will include firing them. If you would like to colour and glaze them you will need to come back once they have been ‘biscuit firing’ (first firing of any pottery). You can then take them away and colour them yourself, but if you want to add ceramic colour and glaze you will need to pay for another session. Once the flowers have had the second glaze firing, you will need to visit a third time to either put the stems on (free mini session) or collect if you wish me to put on stems. All that is left is for you to proudly display your flowers in your home or garden.
£25 per person per hour. (2 x ‘2 hour’ sessions required for glazed flowers and stems £100).
What will I get after one session?
You will get to keep anything you make, either take home same day, or leave it to get fired. I will be in touch for you to collect once it has been biscuit fired.
What will I get if I come back for a second session?
You will get to paint your flower with ceramic colour and dip in glaze ready for a second firing. I will then fire it for you, and you can pick it up and put on stems. I will provide up to 8 rods for the best 8 flowers made and green tape. I can do this for you or your welcome to pop back to do it (no charge). For those that want to put on stems themselves, I use the 1.6mm stainless steal welding rods found here. And this green parafilm waterproof florist tape.
How many people?
This class if for one or groups of 2, 3 or 4.
Aprons, Tea/Coffee and Cake/Biscuits provided.
Are there any minimum age requirements?
Mature children aged 10 and over. Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy my garden weather purmitting.
Where is the Pottery Studio?
27 Hartshill Avenue, Oakengates, Telford, Shropshire, TF2 6AP.
Hartshill Avenue turns into a cul-de-sac. As you come down Hartshill Avenue you can go left or right. GO LEFT and my house is just after turning LEFT. If there is space on my drive you are welcome to park on that, or there is a patch of grass opposite my house (see image below).
